How it's Started

On 24th January 1998 Eva, Gezahegn Asmamaw had received a vision from God to reach un reached people groups. He started equipping and sending local missionaries by mobilizing churches. During that time he was coordinator of Evangelical churches fellowship of Shashemene and surroundings. In the same year he started sharing his vision to get partners. Firstly he shared his vision to World vision Ethiopia area development program directors, there name was Mr Kurkura Waffo, Mr Bekako Duguma, Mr Abate Alemu, Mr Tsegaye and others. After vision sharing Damota and Shone World vision Christian workers has started to support 10 missionaries.

On 24th and 25th of February 2000,  he shared the vision for 54 church leaders by the help of World vision ADPs in Shashemene town. During vision sharing the participants accepted the vision and they decided to work with Evangelical churches fellowship of South Ethiopia. On January 1, 2001 equipped and sent 124 local missionaries and 7 coordinators in to 7 zones. World vision Ethiopia has supported the vision for more than 7 years. Now a day, Rift Valley Vision has support 427 missionaries and has more than seven main programs.
